Cork Civic Life as the hosts of The Pride of Cork 2020 is delighted to announce the categories for the inaugural awards on Saturday September 5th 2020 in The Convention Centre of The Clayton Hotel Silver Springs. The Pride of Cork Awards 2020 will be Cork’s largest and most prestigious awards event for the voluntary, social, civic and not for profit sector throughout Cork city and county.
NOMINATION PROCESS
Nominations can be made by any person and self nominations are acceptable. Nominations must be emailed to Michael Mulcahy at michael.mulcahy@corkciviclife.ie by June 30th 2020 Any person can nominate as many people or organisations and in as many categories as they wish. The person nominating must supply the full contact details of the person that they are nominating and the reasons for their nomination. They Judges may decide to add or remove categories at any time during the awards process.
JUDGING PROCESS
The Judges led by Chairman John Minihan, Cllr. Deirdre Forde, Cllr. Danielle Twomey, Colette Lynch, Amanda Neri, Mary Jane O’ Regan and Michael Mulcahy will assess all nominations after June 30th and the people that they select will be notified that they are to be the recipient of an award and invited to attend the event on Saturday September 5th with a guest. These tickets to the awards dinner and ceremony will be complimentary. If an award recipient wishes to bring additional guests with them a small number of tickets may be available to purchase at that time.
ATTENDING THE EVENT
The recipients of awards at The Pride of Cork Awards 2020 on Saturday September 2020 at 6.30pm will be invited guests of Cork Civic Life at the event. A full dinner event is planned with the awards presented throughout the evening and the night will include a full entertainment programme, dancing and wines at dinner and a welcome drinks reception.
