APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE CIVIC COUNCIL OF CORK CIVIC LIFE

Cork Civic Life is establishing a Civic Council to represent each suburb, village and town in Cork city and county. One person from each area will be appointed to represent their area and to assist in supporting Cork Civic Life so that we in turn can support all of the voluntary, social, civic, charitable and not for profit organisations in each area, and to ensure that we acknowledge people and organisations from the area with A Pride of Cork Award.

The role of the Civic Council members will be as follows –

* To assist Island of Cork Civic Life to identify the voluntary, social, civic, charitable and not for profit organisations in their areas that want to receive the fully free support service from Island of Cork Civic Life in promoting and supporting their organisations.

* To identify people and organisations in their counties that deserve recognition and acknowledgment in The Pride of Cork Awards that will be hosted by Cork Civic Life each year.

* To identify a business in each area that might want to become a Civic Patron of Cork Civic Life and of The Pride of Cork Awards.

We know that time is precious for everyone and we will be very conscious not to take up too much time with this role for our Civic Council members. We want to ensure that we connect with as many local organisations as possible in every local area of Cork so that they can benefit from our fully free service to them and which will really benefit the work they do and their futures. As a Civic Council member you will have an excellent knowledge of all of the incredible organisations in your area who do amazing things for their communities and Cork Civic Life wants to foster that community spirit so that we assist these fantastic voluntary, social, civic, charitable and not for profit organisations by getting their message out to many more people through our platform.

If you are interested in this role for your local area, contact Michael or Lorraine below and they will be delighted to talk it through with you.
