Stephen Belton – Off with his Hair
On Saturday, January 21st, 2023, cast off those January blues and come along to the Garryvoe hotel where, for one knight only, a medieval themed event awaits.
All proceeds from all of the ticket sales, raffle sales and donations to idonate.ie/garryvoehotel will go to Breakthrough Cancer Research. Stephen Belton said “Unfortunately, everyone knows someone that has been touched by cancer, or has lost someone to this dreadful disease… January tends to be a quiet month for us in the hospitality sector, and it was the perfect month for us to give back and do something for this incredible charity”.
You will be greeted on the night with medieval demonstrations by the historical combat & living history society, Bran Dubh who along with the Wobbly Circus will light up the evening! A drink will be served on arrival whilst Conor from Ocean’s will delight us with his music prior to your three-course dinner in the Grand Ballroom!
Live music will be provided in the Grand Ballroom by The Buachaill’s and 96 fm’s own PJ Coogan and Virgin Media’s Deric Hartigan will be on hand to compere the evening.
Dressing in medieval fancy dress is entirely at the guests’ discretion!
While knights in battle were, on occasion, known to lose their heads, this January 21st will see a different kind of chopping going on – namely a historically inaccurate head shave to raise additional funds for Breakthrough Cancer Research.
Stephen Belton, Managing Director of the Garryvoe has volunteered / been bullied into putting his head on the metaphorical block and will lose his lustrous locks on the night! The night will not end there, you will dance the night away to a live band ‘til late!
Tickets cost just €60 each (the full ticket price goes to the Breakthrough Cancer Research charity) and will be available to purchase from the Garryvoe hotel on 021 4646718.
