The Board of The Wheel is pleased to announce that Ivan Cooper has been appointed as the organisation’s new Chief Executive Officer. We know our members will join us in giving Ivan a warm welcome when he takes office on 15 May 2023.
Ivan joined The Wheel in 2005, and as Director of Public Policy he has successfully progressed policy positions on cross-cutting issues affecting our community of members, such as charity regulation, funding, active-citizenship and quality standards. Over the past 18 years, Ivan has made a significant contribution to raising awareness of the role and importance of the community and voluntary sector.
In his new role as CEO, Ivan will continue to deepen our engagement with our community of members, and he will lead the implementation of The Wheels Strategic Plan 2022-2026. We believe that Ivan’s leadership and vision will be instrumental in driving our mission forward and helping us to achieve our goals.
Tony Ward will continue in his role as Interim CEO of The Wheel until Ivan commences his new role on 15 May.
