In the cultural heartbeat of Cork City, Voodoo Rooms is set to host “Voodoo Vogue,” a night of glamour, fashion, and social responsibility. Taking place on Friday May 24th 2024 at 7pm this event not only showcases the latest in high fashion but also supports Cork ARC Cancer Support House, a pivotal resource for individuals and families affected by cancer in the Cork community.
The night will come alive under the stewardship of renowned RTE Stylist, Caroline Downey, and Red FM’s charismatic Colm O’Sullivan, who are set to MC the event. Their combined flair and wit are guaranteed to create an atmosphere brimming with excitement and style. Everyone who joins Caroline and Colm on the night will enjoy a drinks reception, a spectacular fashion show, and entry to the nightclub Voodoo after the show, offering a complete experience of entertainment and style.
Voodoo Rooms Director Stephen Forde shared his excitement about the initiative, “We are thrilled to be putting on ‘Voodoo Vogue.’ It’s an opportunity to raise funds for Cork ARC Cancer Support House and bring unparalleled glamour to our venue, Voodoo Rooms. We aim to offer our guests an experience that extends beyond our identity as a nightclub, highlighting our commitment to the community and causes that matter.”
Head of Services, Olivia Grace , remarked, “Cork ARC Cancer Support House is a lifeline to many cancer patients and their families during what can be their most difficult and challenging time. Cork ARC provides free vital services such as counselling, complimentary therapies such as acupuncture and reflexology, group support, information sessions and much more. We truly believe that together we do something very special for those facing cancer and we will always strive to ensure nobody needs to face cancer alone.”
The event will feature an engaging line-up of fashion showcases from Cork’s premier boutiques, modelled by the professionals from Catwalk Modelling Agency and curated by Celebrity Stylist of the Year, Mandy Maher. In addition to celebrating fashion, the event encourages attendees to “Dress to Impress,” with a “Best Dressed” competition sponsored by Voodoo Rooms, promising an exciting award for the evening’s most stylish guest.
Mandy Maher commented on the significance of the night, “It’s exhilarating to be back in Cork, running fashion shows after such a long hiatus. Working with Voodoo Rooms for such a meaningful cause makes this night extra special. We’re looking forward to an evening that promises great fashion for a great cause.”
